I offer color selection advise and have fan decks from most major manufactures. I can help you narrow down your choices and assist you in choosing a color that expresses your personality, goes with your design theme or express a certain mood or vibe. From there I can recommend a paint that fits your families lifestyle. An active family with kids has different needs than empty nesters. The paint quality can reflect your situation in terms of scrub resistance, stain resistance, dirt pick up and other factors. Then the fun part - getting dirty! Prep work is really important. There are standard services but more or less may be required for your situation and/or preference. I put the paint on using my own system that gets consistent high quality results. That drop dead gorgeous look you hired me for. A fun tidbit...I am one of the few painters in town with a fine art degree and good taste. (I'm also a good cook, but don't tell anyone, ok?) If you mention a particular design trend or architectural style or color theory, I will probably know what you are talking about. Or just trying to pick colors that don't clash.
