About Baxter Clinic Of Hernando Pllc: BAXTER CLINIC OF HERNANDO, PLLC INTRODUCTION We are a true "Primary Care" Clinic, with 2 doctors, representing Family Practice (Dr. Kim Webb) and Internal Medicine (Dr. Rob Meacham) specialties. The current clinic name has been in existence for 10 years, but Baxter Clinic is actually the longest standing continuous primary care doctor's clinic in the entire area. We have timeline documentation of a progressive lineage of doctors providing care to the residents of Hernando and the surrounding area back to the 1890's. Dr. Meacham is the fifth physician owner. During his tenure, the clinic has been recognized with the following awards: "Desoto's Best" Primary Care Doctor-2004, "Desoto's Best" Primary Care Doctor and "Desoto's Best" Family Healthcare Clinic-2005, "Desoto's Best" Primary Care Physician-2006. AVAILABILITY We accept "walk-ins" every morning of the week except Fridays and Sundays, and have appointments available Mondays-Fridays in the mornings and afternoons with one or the other of the providers. We do not admit or follow patients in the hospital, but have designated hospitalists that do. We have after hours emergency phone service. We see any age patient, with Dr. Webb having a special interest and expertise in kids and females, and Dr. Meacham having expertise in adult care and geriatrics. We do not provide pediatric vaccines, but can see and handle children's problems and needs otherwise. Dr. Meacham is the Medical Director of both a home health agency (StaHome), and a hospice (North Mississippi Hospice). SERVICES We addition to the office visit, we offer: laboratory testing, X-rays, EKG, pulmonary function testing, osteoporosis screening (DEXA scan), home sleep apnea or hypoxia screening (SNAP), 24 hour holter monitoring, 24 hour blood pressure monitoring, adult vaccinations, female examinations, and physicals: general, pre-operative, school, sports, assisted living and nursing home placement, pre-employment, preventive care.
