About Honey Do-Ers Inc: Hamilton LaForge, better known as Ham, took woodworking and metal shop classes throughout high school. He continued his education by attending a two-year vocational program at the local community college graduating in the Carpentry/Home Building program. Ham went to work for a custom cabinet making company. There he specialized in the creation of custom wood working projects such as, kitchen and bathroom cabinets, doors, and handmade wooden desks. In 1983, Ham started working for United States Gypsum where he worked in the Engineering Maintenance Department. He became a custom machine welder and fabricator making the custom machine parts for USG’s specialized machinery. This is also an asset in his hobbies of restoring classic motorcycles and automobiles. In 1994, Ham and Laura moved to North Carolina. Ham worked for a local home improvement store where he saw that there was a shortage of people to do home improvements. He started The Honey Do-er's the same year; a trusted locally owned home improvement company. He worked with a local apartment complex doing maintenance and repairs both inside and out. Ham has also worked with three different home builders doing their year-end punch work and warranty work, making sure the new homeowner was happy. In 1999, Laura quit the banking business after 18 years and joined Ham in making The Honey Do-er's the successful business it is today. Call them with your “HONEY DO LIST” from stripping the old wallpaper, painting, installing new cabinets, fixing that squeaky door, all those home improvements that you never seem to get around to doing. Ham and Laura are sensitive to what the customer wants. They are conscientious, creative, honest, hard working and pay attention to fine details.
