Built-in shelving and cabinetry, porch work, whole room or whole house renovation, matching of existing mouldings and/or design elements, repair of existing archictural features, introduction of period style in newer homes, and creating spaces that work for your home and life.We are a small operation...often, it is one person...me. When the job calls for additional hands, I have people to bring in WITH me. For a larger scale project, I can arrange for a licensed plumber and electrician, or work with yours. I'm not a sales guy...I'm the craftsman. The tradesman I might bring to your project are trusted, many of whom I have worked with for over 10 years. I insist on working neat...work areas are inherently messy...and your life is being invaded...we work hard to minimize this impact. I have three children of my own...I know and recognize the risk....so you have a bit less to worry about there. History Lives can provide you with consulting and training.Want to save money and do more of the hands-on work yourself? I can teach you how to repair plaster, replace ropes in your original windows, install pre-made cabinets, or perhaps install new porch flooring. If you want to be the general contractor for your project...I can consult with you regarding plans, design, overall concepts, materials, budgets, schedules, etc to help you make the most of your money and time.
