About Big Bear A/C and Heating: We are a small company based in Frisco, TX specializing in prompt and inexpensive service and sales. We do not use subcontractors, when you call the main number you will be talking to the owner. The owner will show up to most service and all installation calls. The other employee is a family member (younger brother). Our license number is TACLB26601E which expires each year on July 27th. In order for us to maintain the license we are required to do continuing education classes and maintain general liability insurance. We can provide a copy of the current insurance policy. Our service fee is $89.00 and for Angie's List members we will not charge extra for overtime or holidays. We work on all brands equipment, can also sell most brands. This gives us a big advantage as we can find the best deal and match for each customer, we do not try to just sell you one brand. We like to spend time with our families and work on motorcycles and classic cars on our down time. The business was named after the owner, who while working for another company was trying to install a copper line set behind some tall landscaping. As he's a tall and fairly big guy, he was moving the bushes back and forth in his attempt. One of his co-workers saw the ruckus from far away and commented "Man, D.L. looks like a big bear in the woods!!". Needless to say the name stuck and has been a way for customers to remember the owner and the business.
