About Dr. David W. Brown: Born and raised in California, Dr. Brown completed his undergraduate degree in Biology at Colorado State University. He then came to Virginia with his wife Anne in 1975 to pursue his medical training at the University of Virginia. Following medical school and residency, Dr. Brown started his practice in Charlottesville, seeing a need for family centered care. His practice has grown over the years to include generations of families, providing him with the great pleasure of watching his patients grow from birth to adulthood with some even starting their own families. His practice has maintained the mission of attending to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of his patients in pursuit of optimal health. Dr. Brown and his wife have 3 adult children. When not at the office, he enjoys fishing, hunting, and gardening. He has maintained a teaching position at the University of Virginia since graduation to assist with the outpatient training of medical students.
