My mother was always out in her garden growing something, while my father, a cabinetmaker, always had a project that he was working on in his workshop. Here in Sterling, I continued what I learned by working at first on my townhouse, then on a small Victorian where I currently reside. I was born in Pennsylvania, and have been a Virginian since 1972. Degree in Horticulture from Northern Virginia Community College. Interdisciplinary Studies degree from Old Dominion University. Employed by the US Postal Service from 1977 to 2009 as a rural letter carrier.
